Couples Therapy

Every relationship goes through difficult seasons. Whether you're feeling distant, stuck in repeated conflicts, or unsure how to move forward, couples therapy provides a structured and supportive space to rebuild connection, clarity, and trust.

Communication Problems

Communication problems in a relationship often show up as misunderstandings, defensiveness, or feeling unheard. You may find that conversations quickly turn into arguments, or that important topics get avoided altogether. Over time, poor communication can create resentment and emotional distance. Couples therapy helps you develop healthier ways to express needs, listen effectively, and feel understood by your partner.

Conflict & Frequent Fighting

If you and your partner are constantly fighting — especially about the same issues — it can feel exhausting and discouraging. Repeated arguments often follow predictable patterns where neither person feels heard or respected. Without new tools, these cycles tend to intensify over time. Therapy provides practical conflict-resolution strategies so disagreements don’t damage the relationship.

Feeling Disconnected

Feeling disconnected in a relationship can feel lonely, even when you’re physically together. Many couples describe feeling more like roommates than partners, with less emotional closeness or intimacy than before. Disconnection often develops gradually through stress, busy schedules, or unresolved hurts. Couples therapy helps rebuild emotional intimacy and restore a sense of partnership and closeness.

Infidelity & Trust Issues

Recovering from infidelity is one of the most painful challenges a couple can face. Betrayal can shatter trust, create intense emotional reactions, and leave both partners unsure about the future. While healing takes time, many couples are able to rebuild trust with structure, honesty, and guided support. Therapy provides a safe space to process what happened and determine the healthiest path forward.

You’re constantly overthinking, overwhelmed, or on edge—and you're tired of it. Maybe it’s anxiety that won’t let you rest, relationship tension that feels unfixable, or a sense that you’ve lost touch with who you really are. You want to feel grounded, confident, and clear about your direction in life. Most of all, you want real relief and lasting change, not just to cope, but to truly heal and move forward.

I specialize in treating anxiety, relationship issues, depression, identity issues, parenting, and life transitions. My approach is holistic—together we’ll connect emotional health with things like sleep, nutrition, and movement to support healing from the inside out. I use evidence-based practices like CBT and ACT.

It takes courage to ask for help. You don’t have to navigate this alone. In our work together, you’ll be heard and respected. I’ll meet you where you are and walk with you toward meaningful change. If you’re ready to feel like yourself again, I’d love to be part of that journey. Let's meet for a free 15 minute consultation to make sure we're a good fit.

Cade always says that mountains make you strong. If you choose to join him on an outdoor therapeutic adventure, he will help you have your own experience overcoming the challenges of mountains, and experience the joy that comes from sharing those adventures with those you love.

Sometimes life feels overwhelming—family conflicts, transitions, grief, or struggles with addiction can leave you feeling stuck or isolated. I’m here to help you navigate those challenges and find practical, lasting solutions. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Arts from Antioch New England Graduate School and over 25 years of clinical experience. My work spans individual, family, and group therapy, including substance use and addiction treatment. I have had the privilege of serving clients in diverse settings across the country, from residential and therapeutic schools to young adult transition programs, outpatient counseling, equine-assisted psychotherapy, wilderness therapy, and addiction recovery programs.

Born and raised in Maine, I now call the mountains and rivers of Montana and northern Idaho home. I have been happily married for 33 years and am a father of eleven, with ten grandchildren by the end of 2025. Outside of therapy, I enjoy small-scale farming and ranching, hunting, fly fishing, boating, camping, skiing, and playing soccer with my family.

I bring this same energy, commitment, and love for family life into my work, helping individuals and families grow, heal, and thrive together.
